La Tragedia was written in 2008 as an inside joke amongst my Music History classmates. The piece received its premier in 2010 thanks to the SUNY Plattsburgh Clarinet Choir. In three movements written for two Bb clarinets and two bass clarinets, the piece takes the listener on a ride through the emotions of a stressed out college student trying to study Music History.
