Heavy rock band meets big band; a gutsy, punchy dance number to celebrate leaving home/school/university and getting the first paid job. We wish you well…keep up the good work, go for it.
The lyrics are in the form of three Shakespearean sonnets, but the song has a simple structure and theme.
This arrangement has lots of tutti, possibly too much; so the arrangement can grow in any number of directions. Feel free to put more meat in the sandwich.
Above all, this is a song of celebration. My thanks goes to my co-composer Ryan Terleski (see www.sibeliusmusic.com/cgi-bin/user_page.pl?url=rterleski). He sent me the original guitar riff, which inspired the song. Play the guitar tight and loud in this one…like Ryan does.
