This is my first Internet published song. It is a tribute to a friend, Jothan Callins, who died in 2005. He was a great human being who generously shared his gift of melody and song. His music remains in my head. Therefore, I transformed what he gave me into a musical piece to express admiration of his gentle spirit and musical skills. Whereas he played many instruments as a music educator, he first love was the trumpet, which is featured in this tribute. Perhaps it can be described as music with feeling and moderate…unbeat tempos and ABABC form.
