"Jeanne La Pucelle" is an overview of the life of Joan
of Arc, from the point of view of three individuals. The
soprano sings the part of Joan of Arc, the tenor sings
the part of the king of France, and the baritone
(the villain!) sings the part of a prosecutor. Each part
sings a melody that is matched to the personality. This
song is for highly skilled singers, though the piano part
is not particularly difficult. The MP3 file contains a
wonderful performance by Nikita Wells (baritone), Marilyn
O'Leary (soprano), Anthony Torchia (tenor), and Jeff
Jefferson (piano). Take the time to listen to it!
