Jazz Song, as the name suggests is a contemporary classical piece with heavy jazz leanings. It was written while the composer was at the Royal College of Music in the early 80s and revised in 2002. The piece is dedicated to his brother, a talented jazz funk drummer, presently enjoying a successful career in Paris, France. Jazz Song was commercially recorded by clarinettist Nicholas Carpenter for Herald AV Publications in 1992. An editted version for alto or tenor saxophone is available on request.
