One is the translation from Russian of a poem ("Soir d’hiver") by the great Alexander Sergei Pouchkine (may be his great-grand father) that he set to music; among the 8 songs we fing 3 poems by Musset, and another one is his own words and music ( "L’âme en peine"). This poem. here, by Musset has also been set to music by a few composers: Camille Erlanger, Emile Durand, Gabriel Dupont, Eugène Lacheurié, Hector Salomon etc. and also Alain Jacques.
