This work was written for Cranleigh School Centenary Celebrations, 1965,
and was given its first performance in the Civic Hall, Guildford, on 28th May, 1965 conducted by the composer.
The Baritone solo part is intended for a professional singer, but the choral writing is written with amateur choral societies in mind. The orchestral part, however, requires players of professional or competent semi-professional standard.
