'Introibo ad altare Dei' alternates traditional plainchant as a refrain with verses chanted in harmony. It received its first performance in St John's Cathedral, Portsmouth by La Francigena, directed by the composer. The audio file cannot reproduce the freedom of chanted words; also the repeats for verses 2 & 3 have been omitted as they are identical to verse 1 but the Gloria (prior to the final return of the plainchant) has been included.
