The melody of "Innsbruck, ich muss dich lassen" (Innsbruck, I must leave thee) is attributed to Heinrich Isaac. The present words are by Robert Bridges, Poet Laureate from 1913-1930, whose work reflects a deep religious faith. His best known poem is probably "Jesu, joy of man's desiring".
