This version of Handel's famous aria from his opera 'Rinaldo' is the second of my suite of arrangements of pieces intended for memorial occasions or funerals as a voluntary, particularly when a string quartet is available and preferred, say in the absence in a secular setting, of an organ.It is of moderate difficulty using the three lower violin strings and should be played with only a light vibrato in baroque style(and of course it can be played just for pleasure).
