A night piece. Basically in the aria form. Starts off in the cool evening key of E major. Then heads to the traumatic key of G-sharp minor, then modulates through E-flat major to B-flat minor finally resting on V of E-major. The piece then plays from the relative minor to major. Then it modulates to the happy key of C major. The final harmonic modulation is in A-flat major. Simply an A B A' format. The First A is suppose to represent a pastoral, evening feeling. At the B section, the mood turns to an dark, unstable abyss of an mood. The second A' is finally the calm after the storm. Then, everything fades into the sunset.
