This work is part one of a trilogy called "IMPRESSIONS" The text is not something to be universally translated. It's meaning will vary from reader to reader, hence from performer to performer. The compositional style of the piano accompaniment is a combination of classical piano perpetual mobile & modern jazz piano perpetual mobile. The English Horn is used as both an adorning descant, and as a canonic partner to the vocal line. This vocal line portrays the text vividly. How one sings this one will be totally influenced by how the text speaks to them as well as what the text means to them. Yes, the ending is quite high.

Do En-Joy!

Cheers,

H. L.
