It’s a still, quiet springtime night in the deep forest. Gentle breezes stir the leaves overhead, and all is well. But all the forest creatures suddenly halt their peaceful activities and watch cautiously when a large grizzly bear lumbers into a meadow, rises to his hind legs and – begins waltzing? He’s clumsy and heavy, but it’s definitely a waltz! Soon another grizzly emerges from the trees at the opposite side of the meadow, obviously a lady because she’s wearing a pink tutu. She’s also waltzing, and much more graceful about it. She does some fancy footwork with her admittedly ponderous feet. Despite their physical limitations, the two bears dance with expressive feelings, and yes – with love in their hearts. Even the most timid of the forest creatures gradually lose their fears and join the two moon-crossed lovers in a joyous and loving dance. As dawn approaches, the two bears walk gently away into the forest, paw in paw.
