Text
Ich will dir mein Herze schenken. The setting is taken from the Gospel of St.Matthew (in the Luther Bible).
Ich will dir mein Herze schenken,
Senke dich, mein Heil, hinein!
Ich will mich in dir versenken;
Ist dir gleich die Welt zu klein,
Ei, so sollst du mir allein
Mehr als Welt und Himmel sein.
English translation
I wish to give you my heart
Sink into it, my Salvation.
I will submerge myself in you.
And if the world is too small for you,
Ah, you alone shall be more to me
Than world and heaven
