"I Want to be a Disciple" has been used often in children’s choirs, vacation Bible schools, pre-schools and Sunday schools.

Some children’s choirs have used this as their theme song, e.g. singing it over and over as children come into rehearsal until all are seated. Even the youngest children like to march to it.

The words are from I Cor. 10:31 and the old catechism question.

The MP3 is from "Songs of Joy Vol. 1." The singer is Debby McElroy and the arranger is Brian Green. The companion songbook includes an arrangement that is different from the one posted here with piano accompaniment more like the recording.
