This is the first piano piece in a series of pieces I composed in loving memory of my mother who passed away Nov 13 2008. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002. After her surgeries and chemo therapy she was in remission from 2004 to 2007. It was a long consistant battle for her, but she always remained positive and would make us understand that life is short, make the most of it. She was a best friend to me, a very important role in my life. It was very difficult to see her leave this world. I wrote this piece during the spring of 2009 and never released it on this web site untill now 2012. she would always make us read this: grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference. I truly know what this means now..
