This song was written in 1975 for the Malta Festival of Peace Song Contest (Does this still take place?). It was a runner up in both categories on that occasion. Listening to it again recently, I was struck by how strongly the lyrics resonate over 25 years later; a fact which is rather depressing, I suppose.
