You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices. This latest trio for double basses is pizz throughout. Any of the parts can be played on electric bass. The third part goes down to low Db, so a five-string bass is best for this part (or a 4-string with C extension). The frequent reharsal marks are designed to facilitate improvisation between sections, wherever the performers might wish. The tempo can be modifed in any section, too; I could hear the piece considerably slower, for example. It will depend on the sonorities and balance of the three instruments.
This music is enthusiastically dedicated to my friend & bass ensemble partner, virtuoso bassist, composer, bandleader, & proud papa, Mr. Victor Bateman.
