A classic ballad written by the celebrated American song writer Sammy Fain, and who better to arrange `I Can Dream, Can`t I?` than Leon Young, who arranged hundreds of scores for the Frank Chacksfield Orchestra; Acker Bilk`s `with strings` albums; the BBC radio light orchestras` of their time; his own `Leon Young String Chorale`. And of course not forgetting the orchestral interludes in the early popular radio series `I.T.M.A." long before the days of TV. And also, after a request to supervise the musical content of his films, Leon offered to Charles Chaplin a polite "No thank you", prefering instead the security of his `9 to 5` arranging position in Francis, Day & Hunter, later to be absorbed into EMI Music Publishing.
So gather your woodwind, strings, and rhythm personnel together, to enjoy this relaxing score, on this occasion arranged for a BBC light Orchestra - and London; Birmingham; Manchester, or Glasgow, I cannot tell you.
