This piece is about London now; people rushing about in their day-to-day tasks, sometimes leaving things unfinished, spending too much time on one thing or overlooking something important altogether!
Although quite frenetic in style, and using a variety of different effects, the piece is quite simple in structure, presenting at the outset a recurring three-note motif and eventually two full-bodied themes, passed between the various groups of the ensemble. There is an intentional slapstick feel to parts of the piece to lend it some light relief and to radiate a sense of fun; after all, Londoners certainly know how to enjoy themselves!
