’Homage to GFH’ was originally written with the chamber organ at St George’s, Hanover Square, London in mind, and in response to Paul Ayres’ request for ’Handel-inspired’ music for that organ. This version has been made for a standard organ with a minimum of two manuals and pedal board.
The piece uses the notes of Handel’s initials, GFH, (G,F,B natural) as both it’s melodic and harmonic material.
