Henry Purcell originally titled this piece a hornpipe, but it also goes by the more enchanting name "Hole in the Wall," named for the dance done to the same tune. This harp arrangement is a tad challenging, until one feels the gentle swing of the 6/4 time and the unfolding very-Baroque patterns. A variation adds melodic interest. Requires a folk harp down to C below middle C, except for the very last note, an octave lower and easily changed, or any pedal harp. There are 8 lever or pedal changes, but they are all G to G# and back again. This is a fantastic wedding or church prelude piece! By Lyrica Press, fine harp sheet music.
