Psalm 33 recurs 3-4 times as the responsorial psalm between weeks 18-21 of the liturgical calendar in Year B. In order to add variety, musical styles from the various parts of the world was used, to demonstrate the universal nature of God; that no matter the culture, we can still “taste” of his love.
This particular version, set to Chinese flavour, is doubly appropriate as it was to be sung around the date of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival (Moon-cake Festival)
