My colleague Hector Scott is leaving to take up a new position and I was asked to write something for his Junior School pupils to play at a surprise "farewell" performance. The parts are fairly flexible allowing better players on violin, viola and cello to be challenged with more difficult music while some parts are reasonably simple to allow less experienced players to take part. The title? A play on words to keep the piece a surprise. Hector’s got to leave….
