Dynamic and dramatically compelling, this driving, powerful music reflects the colorful imagery of Milton's poetry, "and heaven, as at some festival, will open wide the gates of her high palace hall." The choral parts and organ accompaniment are challenging and are intended for well-trained musicians. This music comes from the larger work for orchestra and chorus entitled, "Summer in Winter," which had its premiere in December 2004 in Lancaster, PA.
