The sensitively played classical guitar can present a very "holy" sound. I have always loved this emotional work by Bach and wanted to express it with guitars. Since the work is very slow and the melody in some measures of the second half are quite sustained I have suggested the use of quarter notes for the first guitar. This can and has been performed by players of moderate skill.
