An arrangement for brass quintet with horn solo of Handel's alto aria from the Messiah. I have written trills in as indicated in the original score but given some of the slightly awkward fingering (particularly for the trumpets) it may be wise to play them as single mordents. The horn soloist in encouraged, particularly on the DC/DS, to decorate the solo line as he/she sees fit, though I've included the odd decoration of my own already. This will need plenty of stamina as it's quite long (10 minutes). Trumptes and trombones may wish to use a cup mute throughout. Constructive feedback welcome.
