This incredibly beautiful aria is extracted from the opera Rinaldo, written by G-F Haendel on a libretto by G. Rossi. The lyrics can be found hereafter (in Italian with the English translation below)

Lascia ch’io pianga mia cruda sorte, e che sospiri la libertà.

Il duolo infranga queste ritorte de’ miei martiri sol per pietà.
