This is a repetitive piece, that can be called minimal. If you know what tape loops are, you’ll recognize some of that sound here. It definitely sounds like loops are being layered and gradually replaced.
However, everything is completely composed out, and the looping effect is more seeming than real.
Written for TTBBGC recorders in G mixolydian and dorian with nary an accidental in sight, this is a pleasantly playable piece.
