Third movement for Bribie Suite for Percussion. A light airy jazz feel in six four with contrapuntal work. Once again scored for approx 12 percussion students of varying ability and 3 pitched percussion plus piano and bass guitar.
The Glass House Mountains were so named by Captain Cook in his voyage of discovery of the East Coast of Australia in 1770 but they had, of course, tens of thousands of years of Aboriginal history before this time with their own history and dreamings.
They repeat their forms as volcanic plugs (suggesting rounds and fugues to me) and are starkly visible across the Sunshine Coast Hinterland - airy, clean and graceful
