Here is a polymetric jazz-fusion piece. The work contains a repeating rhythmic pattern found in both the A and B section. If you compare measure 37 to 101, you will find the same rhythmic pattern performed with a different meter. The tension between three against two can be heard throughout most of the arrangement.
The big band has been expanded here to include two flutes and three percussionists. I greatly hope you and your ensemble have a lot of fun when performing this piece.
