I began Fredericks Royal Rag for a class taught by American composer Stanley Hollingsworth.Musical Offering. This twisty tune was originally presented to Bach by Frederick The Great as a challenge to see what "Old Bach" could do with it. J.S. immediately played a masterly improvisation, and later wrote the famous Musical Offering to more fully show the extended possibilities, which Frederick did not seem to appreciate. Consider this as an addition to the tradition, minus Frederick! (score last modified/corrected 3-13-06)
