About the Composer: Francisque Darcieux (1880 - 1951) was a French composer known for his significant contributions to music. Born in Saint-Genis-Laval, he studied under Vincent d'Indy and collected and harmonized numerous regional songs. His diverse body of work includes operettas, orchestral works, and melodies for voice and piano. Despite his considerable output, Darcieux remains somewhat overlooked today.
