This composition was premiered at St Martin in the Fields in 2014 and features extended techniques and unconventional sound production. The piece starts with a two-voice polyphony (voice in the instrument and the actual sound of the clarinet playing the lower part); it gets into a section of "aleatoric music" with guidelines to build melodic lines using microtones for a total of 21 pitches within the octave (12 of the chromatic scale and 9 quarter tones); a section using diads to vary the original melody; a cadenza at the end using multi-phonics and diads before concluding. This piece has been featured on the critically acclaimed album "Poeta" and "Fragments", more info on www.lucaluciano.com
