The Finale of Mozart's String Trio in Eb K563 ( Divertimento ), one of his greatest works, had such attractive ideas as well as a very famous main theme, it deserved wider circulation in a more popular format. Transposed to D major it aligns itself with Mozart's other movements for solo flute with various accompaniments ( quartet, concerto etc ) in the same key.
