You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.Five-note March was originally written for piano (six hands), where the top part again used just five notes throughout the main section - in this case a pentatonic scale.
I have decided to arrange it for a number of popular instrumental ensembles, brass and woodwind - it would make a nice little encore piece!
I have again dedicated this to Anita Hall, and provided the usual extra parts - a version of the Bass Flute for Alto Flute, and one of the Piccolo for the regular instrument. Obviously the use of either of these two substitutes will have some limitations for the harmonic width of the score and chording.
N.B. In the present economic climate, a good number of smaller ensembles understandably buy just the set of parts as, in reality, these alone are all that is needed in performance. Equally, a similar number buy both the parts and the full score. To compensate for this, I intend to reduce the cost of the full score by $4, and increase the price of the lead part by $3, a differential that wasn’t available to sellers at the former SibeliusMusic.com.
