About the Composer:

Filippo Capocci (1840-1911) was a renowned Italian organist and composer. Born in Rome, he was a significant figure in the Cecilian Movement, which aimed to reform church music. Capocci's compositions, characterized by their neoclassical style, include around 200 organ pieces and several vocal works. He was the organist of the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran and a member of the American Guild of Organists.
