This is the third in a series of short works for piano, written for, and dedicated to, members of the composer's family, his friends, and his piano-playing acquaintances./This piece (Opus 6, Number 3B) is an arrangement for two hands of the original composition for four hands (Opus 6, Number 3A), written for, and dedicated to, the two MPs, William Hague and Boris Johnson, who, like the composer, commenced their piano studies relatively late in life - incidentally, both versions of the work contain exactly the same notation, with some of the notes being based on the dedicatees' initials, alphabetically/musically encoded./Interpretation: "molto espressivo" throughout, please, and "poco rubato" where thought appropriate.
