This work has been created during few years period when I improvised on motifs of two well known Japanese songs - "Sakura sakura" and "Kōjō no tsuki" - at my piano recitals. Harmonization using complex jazzy chords and chromatic progressions as well as an idea to combine both songs into the counterpoint materialized step by step. The very last version of jazz impro was created during recording of final version in May/June 2012 and exploits melodic motifs of both songs. I perform this impro in a little bit different way at each concert which is also demanded from other performers.
