This piece was written 2 1/2 months after a break up, as a reflection of my thoughts (of what would have been a 'perfect dream' the parting did not occur). The solo instrument of choice (flute) was picked since she played the flute (we first met in class when I decided to take up flute for a year). The technicalities are based on what her abilities. An actual performance has yet to be decided, though several flautist have looked at the part (my ex being on of them).

Sept. 30th - I've made recent revisions to the piece. It's a little more concise and there is more harmonic rhythm, rather than monotony. I've taken out the coda completely.

Oct. 4th - The new piece is dedicated to Miss Samantha Hirst, who's interest inspired me to revise the piece after 4 years of neglect.
