The Evocation is one of two pieces I composed for the performance opera "Ode to Icarus". It is a set piece that announced the beginning of the ceremony that resurrects Icarus, after he fell to Earth. Although the piece plays back satisfactory on most MIDI devices, you will get the best sound from a Roland JV 1080 in MIDI performance mode. Ode to Icarus is a project conceived by Undermind Arts and scripted by Niilarte DeOsso. Two CDs have been created out of the many original compositions created for the performance.
