Etherae is a piece in 7 beats with strong eastern influence and character, built in 3 parts, exploring the resonnances of a guitar tuned B A D F# B E.
The first part (as the title suggests) has a etherean, meditative, taking huge inspiration from the special tuning used, bringing to a semi-modal approach. It develops a lyrical melody which is going to travel and be enriched on its way with changes of timbre, harmonics, octaves…
The second part is very rythmical and incisive, bringing to a flow from which floating melodies and notes are going to emerge and dialogue, echoing to the character introduced before.
The conclusive part, comes back to the initial melody, fading progressively.
