This one-page arrangement for french horn quartet works well as an accompaniment to hymn-singing. It is in a key suitable for singing, and the four parts can be switched around between the players in each verse in order to save the high players' lips. Individual parts are also provided should they be required.

The tune Ellacombe was first published in Germany in 1784, and it now most often sung to the hymns 'I Sing the Mighty Power of God', 'Hail to the Lord's Anointed' and 'Hosanna, Loud Hosanna'.
