Elesa is a work song; imagine a group of people felling a tree on top of a hill and then moving it down the slope. In performance, the first and last calls of "Elesai da Elesa!" are sung slowly by the same person, but the others can be sung by other singers. I have given the approximate tempos of how we were taught it, but of course different performances are never the same, so feel free to vary these as you wish.
