Brand new piece written for our Good Friday service next week as the introit. The piece is a contemplation on the sacrifice of the cross. The "getossen" section is a remembrance of the saving ministry and grace of Christ. The penultimate section "schreiend (wailing)" is the realization that I am one who has nailed Him to the tree, not just those of long ago. A piece, I feel, which helps to remind us of the importance of the humanity of Christ, not just His divinity.
