As there's going to be a new film now of Tolkien's 'The Hobbit', I thought I would love to write the music for it, and as nobody's likely to ask me, I decided to write some anyway! This is the song the dwarfs sing near the beginning of the story - I can't put the text in as it's copyright, but it's the one beginning 'Far over the Misty Mountains cold'. The instrumentation in loosely based on what Tolkien describes in the book. Imagine the dwarfs as having deep, resonant bass voices!
