Charles Auguste de Bériot (1802-1870) was a Belgian violinist and composer. Three Concertant Duets for 2 Violins Op.57 are beautiful and gorgeous pieces with featuring violin techniques. No.2 consists of the following three movements, I. Moderato con spirito, II. Andante, III. Rondo, Allegro.
It is beautiful and elegant through most of the music. The movement II starts idyllically, but has a very dramatic intermediate part.
