My brass quintet has found Strauss waltzes to be crowd favorites. This waltz was prepared by Strauss using themes from "Die Fledermaus". I made some cuts from the original. My goal was to make this piece easy on the chops so it can be used as a bit of a chop break in the midst of a concert of more difficult pieces. Scored for 2 Bb trumpets, F horn (alternate Eb horn part), trombone in tenor clef (alternate parts in bass clef and Bb treble clef), and tuba (alternate Bb treble clef bass part).
