Written in 2020, Droplets of Diversity is scored for flute and string quartet. It is a set of two variations on a flute theme by Adrian Oswalt and has a total duration of just less than two minutes.
In the first variation, the strings imitate fractions of the flute melody and the second variation is more developed and extended.
It was written during the earlier country-wide lockdowns due to the Covid-19 pandemic and can be seen as a positive response amidst such negative conditions.
