Each verse the pitch goes up by a tone until the final verse which returns to the original key. Everybody except the Contrabassoon has a go at the melody and each verse is harmonised in a different syle.
Verse 1 is a solo for Oboe, Verse 2 is a duet for oboe and Bassoon 3. Verse 3 adds the 1st Bassoon and Contra, Verse 4 is the first verse with all instruments playing. Verse 5 is a trio for Bassoons 2, 3 and contra. Verse 6 uses all instruments for the finale.
This is a very simple arrangement and should be playable by any standard of ensemble.
